Trend alert : Cross-Stitch

First it was chevron, then Ikat, bunting, lattice and we’ve recently seen color blocking increase in popularity. I for one, predict that the next trend will be cross-stitch. Not in the literal craft kinda way, but the use of the look in decor, stationery, baking etc.

Here is a small round-up of what I think will be the next big trend :

I actually love the wall art and think it would look fabulous in an office space or even a nursery! Do you think this will be the next big trend? Have you seen other cross-stitch inspired decor or other ?

I just pinned those top images 2 days ago :) I really like it.

I don’t see it becoming a trend like chevron or lattice prints because I just don’t think it’s transferrable to enough mediums – fabric, wall paper, etc. – & if it does end up on those things, I think it will be aimed more at a crafty demographic. Accessories for sure, though. Just a thought!

p.s. if you don’t fill in the captca correctly, it brings up a new screen and erases your info & comment…

I agree, this is such a fun new pattern. It feminine but can still have a great graphic impact.
