@The_Foundary = Bullshit

As you can see from my post title I am not a very happy customer. Ever since the launch of the site, I was (notice the past tense) a fan of the foundary. I loved their site and what they were selling so I went ahead and spread the word about the site. Obviously because I did so, I got credits which is how every other sale site works, so I was collecting credits to purchase bigger item pieces. Seeing that shipping to Canada wasn’t possible (or rarely is) it’s only normal that my credit would pile. I did buy a Boon bath toy for Mavi and some Egyptian silk sheets for the hubs and I but thats how far I went (seeing I have to ask my US friends to ship to them and then they ship to me). At the beginning of the month I had 69$ credits. And couldn’t wait to use them. I checked the site everyday for something I would like to buy but nothing really hit home.

Then last week, I go in my account (like i do everyday) and notice 20$ credits are gone. 20$ you know how hard I worked for those credits?! I knew they had a policy of expiring credits (which honestly I don’t know what they do this seeing big sale sites don’t expire the credits you worked hard to earn) but what really pissed me off is that there was no warning (except a really discrete pop up box at the bottom of the page) Honestly an email notification would be the way to go. Maybe just a heads up message like ‘listen, we don’t want you to lose your credits so be sure to use them before xxxx date’ I decided to contact customer service via their website contact form and I received an automatic email confirming they got my message and I should get a response in about 24 hours. Its been 6 days, I even tweeted them on 2 occasions and still no response. What the fuck is the problem?!

So today, I decide to check my account and realized another 20$ credits were GONE. THAT WAS THE FUCKING CHERRY ON TOP. So as you can see, I’m writing this post to put the word out to watch your credits and don’t wait because then you will be in my shoes, creditless and no response from their customer (lack of) service. I wish I could just hand over my remaining 20$ credits to someone because clearly I will never purchase from that site again. I’m even unsubscribing now.

    Wow, what a horrible company! Wake up and join the current century! An email notification wouldn’t be that hard and would clearly go a long way towards providing good customer service. Judging from their lack of response though it seems pretty clear that’s an area they don’t care about in the slightest!

    Wow – that’s terrible! I can’t believe they don’t give you any warning at all!

    Ugh ugh ugh: that makes me so angry! I had the same thing happen to me with GILT. They do have a spot on your account that tells you when each credit expires, but since I don’t normally log on and look at that part of the site, I was unaware that I had a few that expired. I lost $75. I was sooo ticked. :(

    That totally sucks! And what horrible marketing… Seems like it would have been a perfect opportunity to get you to buy something if they had just sent you an email to let you know. That bites.

    Ideeli does the same damn thing. But they gave me my credits back. Such BS – and now I’m going to spend my Foundary ones before they run out!

      yes please do! they are being very sneeky about the expiry dates too. I keep looking for something I can use all my credits on but nothing good is popping up lately.

    Wow! I can’t believe the non-response! As a warning, OneKingsLane does the same thing – no email warning, the credits just disappear. I complained, and they reinstated my credits for an additional year to use. That’s the only reason I stuck with them.

      Well after some harsh back and forth emails they finally gave me a 20$ credit back. I didn’t get the other 20, but still… I’m happy I haven’t lost everything. They definitely need to work on their customer service.
