Clearly if you saw my laundry room you’d understand what my obsession is with laundry rooms. I have clothes EVERYWHERE (even behind my washing machine – don’t laugh) and I really want to organize my laundry room so that, it too is as important as the other spaces in my house. I think if I make a prettier space, I’d be more inclinded to use it. Can you believe I have a brand new iron and ironing board still in the box, never been used?! I know… how sad is that.

I am loving all the storage and clothes hanging solutions found at Ikea. I really think once I’m done my office, I will make the laundry room a priority. I want to install a counter over our washer and dryer, put nice containers with detergent, pretty storage for the solo socks and even something pretty to hang my clothes to dry. So bare with me if you see a little more laundry room inspiration.
How’s your laundry room? Anything you suggest to be a MUST HAVE?

Loving these easy to do, DIY headboards. Who said you need something pricey to get the desired look. A little paint, repurposed items and voila something drab to fab. I unfortunately have a built in headboard on my bed but trust me when I say when I will buy a new bed…. I am definitely going all out with my headboard.

I am loving the mixture of typography, but I’m not sure I see this work well for a headboard. Sure for wall art but regardless it’s inspiring.

I am liking the idea of using a mantle. How pretty is this? Obviously I would make sure the frames or decoration were well “fixed” incase you decide to have some adult playtime in bed (if you know what I mean)

The idea of using doors is amazing. You can find an inexpensive vintage decorative door and paint it. Maybe the molding 1 color and the rest another. How pretty would that be?!

Would you or have you attempted to make your own headboard? Are you more paint, wood or fabric?

I love that even now, vintage glamour is HOT. As in everyone wants to pull it off, heck I wish I could. I especially love this July 2011 Vogue Espana shoot. Doesn’t Crystal Renn pull of that glam look so well. How I wish I lived in those days (well for the fashion at least)

If you are searching for unique handmade jewelry for your wedding that screams “look at me” then you’re in luck, because Edmoure Ralph recently launched their wedding collection. OR, if you are looking for unique bridesmaid gifts or something for your bridal party to wear on the most important day of your life, then trust Edmoure Ralph, believe me you won’t regret it. I wish they were around when I got married.

If I were to re-incarnate myself as a blogger/photographer/fashionista/artist, I think I’d take Jamie‘s spot. I absolutely adore her style, her eye for all things pretty and not to mention her rocking vintage look… and I mean did you see her blog?! All sorts of amazing. Kuddos to the designer of that as well. Like I said, I’d love to be her. Girl Crush! <3
If you don’t already follow her blog, YOU MUST DO SO NOW! It’s very inspiring (well for me it is) and just takes me to this happy place.

Last week Sarah 101 episode featured a kitchen remodel. Went from drab to fab and definitely not your typical cookie-cutter kitchen. Yellows, Blues, Beige and Browns gives this kitchen the much needed retro flare.
Episode 9 : Re-Imagined Kitchen
This family kitchen has great bones but needs a face lift. Sarah trades the dated yellow and brown palette for fresh robin’s egg blue and off white. Hand-built cupboards are sprayed as the island is reconfigured. New flooring and lighting nod to the retro style of the house yet modernize the space for today’s needs. Sarah gives you the how and why of trade-offs in updating one of the most important and costly to renovate rooms in a typical home!
To-do List:
- Cabinets
- Appliances & Flooring
- Backsplash & Counter
- Paint & Lighting
- Furniture
- Accents

As much as I find the floor to be a bit much, I have to admit..I like it. I think the floor combined with the similar pattern in the backdrop makes an interesting combo. Add a blue colored island and you’ve got yourself a pretty, fresh and inviting kitchen. It wouldn’t of been my first choice of materials, colors and patterns… but it’s defintiely making me rethink how I see kitchens. J’adore!
If you read this blog, you know that I am a big fan of Joe Fresh, a Canadian Superstore brand with stylish, fresh and affordable apparel and accessories for all seasons. They offer fashion for men, women and children, and they just launched their Spring 2011 collection. Swoon.

I am loving everything about this collection. The fresh colors, the neutrals, the prints… that’s pretty much everything. I am especially coveting that red pattern dress. At only 29$ I can afford to buy it in every color. Check out the Website for more amazing spring fashions at ridiculously low prices.
At the moment, this is a Canadian only store, and they don’t offer online shopping… but they recently announced they will be opening their first store in the Big Apple in Fall of this year ( Fifth Avenue and 43rd Street ) I promise you will love Joe. It has stolen the hearts of so many Canadians already.

I blogged about BHLDN, Antropologie’s new venture in the Wedding Industry last week. Well you probably noticed but I’ve been beyond excited about it (even if I am not getting married, or planning to attend any weddings)
I’m sure you are like me, anxious to see what they have in store for brides of the world. Well… I came across some images and I had to share.

Not only will they be selling wedding dresses, but anything from bridesmaid dresses to accessoires (yup even shoes!) BHLDN has a brand launch party yesterday (how I wish I was a little fly on the wall) and it seemed nothing short of amazing. (To view more pics, check out Green Wedding Shoes – who was actually there – jealous much?!)

BHLDN is pronounced “Beholden,” and is inspired by the Dutch word for “to keep.” I know many thought it was an acryonm. They are set to launch Monday, February 14th. Can’t wait to see what’s in store.
