Well hello there! My name is Brooke and on any given day you can find me rambling over at my blog, Claremont Road. Kelly and I became blog-friends during our days as wedding bloggers over at Weddingbee — you may also know me as Mrs. Cupcake — and I’m delighted to be guest blogging for you all.
In honor of the newest addition to Kelly’s family (hi, baby Mavrick!), I thought it apropos to share with you some of my absolute favorite nurseries that I’ve stumbled upon while perusing the web. There are no kiddies on the horizon for me and my hubby quite yet, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been saving these gems in my back pocket for when the time comes!
I am a color girl. These rooms just feel so happy and cheery to me, without being so colorful that they make you dizzy.
I love pale aqua tones with splashes of yellow and red…

…and cool, yellowy greens accented with bold prints and soft textures to tie everything together:

…and then there are the more artsy interpretations that aren’t traditionally “baby,” yet they are still perfectly charming and appropriate for the little ones:

Hi! I’m Holley, and I’ve got a little blog called Dead Flowers, where I talk about pretty much everything, including my case of sudden-onset baby fever. Because I’ve got babies (and fashion, of course) on the brain, I thought I’d share with you guys an inspiration board I made featuring some maternity clothes that aren’t really maternity clothes.

I’d add a couple pairs of black extra-stretchy leggings and some elastic waistband cotton skirts and call it a new wardrobe. Who says you can’t be both fashionable and pregnant?

I love this look, it’s stunning. If only I could find a “good” excuse to get myself one, I would.
I personally ♥ the black tulle skirt one. Would this be good for a wedding? Hmmm… because I do have one coming up in September.

I love green, I love yellow so when I saw this nursery, I automatically fell in love. I mean, what’s not to love? It’s bright, modern, clean and not over the top theme-y. They did an excellent job creating a nursery that can be both for a boy or a girl. I love that they went all out and purchased a green rocker. Hats off to you

I seriously cannot get tired of looking at nurseries. There is just something about them that are so magical. If ever you came across some neat ones, link them in a comment and I will try and feature them on the blog.

People are beyond talented… and this Cooking in Style themed party for Pauline’s 5 year old daughters birthday has to be one of my ultimate favorites. I remember when I was about that age, I could literally marry my EasyBake Oven. I mean, add some water put it in the box with a lightbulb aka the oven and out came a yummy brownie. Ok… where was I going? Ah yes, so obviously I would of loved having a cooking themed birthday party when I was little.
Can you just check out the all the details? I mean… look at those wooden spoons on the invitation. It’s simply brilliant, and one day… (if I have a girl) trust me, she will have a party like this one.

Check out the original post for a more detailed explanation on the overall process as well as the vendors used to create such an amazing party.

You’ve probably seen this nursery a few times in the blogosphere but its too pretty not to share. And well, if you haven’t seen it, then you are in for a treat. I love the combo or colors and both classic and modern pieces. Even though there are some animals it doesn’t scream baby theme and I love that. I think they did a fabulous job (and drool on that window seat – how amazing)
I heart gray… and this is so perfect
Watchout, Picture overload …

I always love clean design, and when I came across Mrs. Lilien Styling house it made me smile. Great design elements, paired with images to create unique inspiration boards… I knew I needed to share it with all of yous (well… if you haven’t seen it yet)
She finds elements that you wouldn’t necessarily put together such as jewelry and furniture… but the collages make it seem as though the elements were always meant to be paired together. Here are just two examples.

Whether she is inspired by a photograph, artist or even color, Mrs. Lilien always finds away to make something ordinary… shine. I mean, I always have the sudden urge to purchase everything on EVERY board. Luckily my wallet doesn’t permit that

As perfectly described on her site “Mrs. Lilien styling house blog, an eye-candy showcase devoted to the pursuit of visual brilliance. The styling house blog spotlights Mrs. Lilien’s daily delights, illustrious inspiration and present-day projects. Mrs. Lilien styling house applauds luxury, swears by playful sophistication, adores visual drama and delights in the good life – because it’s just better!”

Keep up the great work!!! You inspire many, including me
Be sure to check out her blog daily for amazing eye-candy. You can even follow her on Twitter
