Super excited because tonight, I am going to see Zumanity of Cirque du Soleil. Yup, I’m going to be a voyeur tonight, and plunge in the sexiness of Cirque.

Zumanity
I can’t help but be proud or Cirque du Soleil, since it all started a little over 20 years ago, here in Montreal. My first cirque show was when I was about 10, and I instantly fell in love. Now, being in Vegas and seeing Cirque, seems like an awesome awesome accomplishment (on their part)
What’s your favorite Cirque show?

When we purchased our house back in September, I was super excited that I would have my own Blush!nk office. I wanted to set it up so that maybe one day I could receive clients at home… well because, we all want to be able to have our own company and live off it (right?). I had big plans for my office… but that’s pretty much it. 5 months later, still nothing is done (well apart a turquoise painted room, and a white desk – from Ikea )
Now that I am pregnant, I really want to complete my office before the little one shows up. Problem… I have no clue how to set it up. Le Sigh.
Here are the colors of my website + blog and stationery

I wanted to print out my blog pattern as a wall paper to put on 1 wall… but dunno where I can get that done for cheap. I wanted to print my logo on a big canvas and frame it (in a white frame) so that it would pop against the turquoise wall… that hasn’t been done. And this doesn’t even include the countless boxes that are lying around on my office floor. (I would take a picture but… I don’t think you want to see it)
Here is some office inspiration to give you an idea of what I like :

Wall paper idea, I was talking about.

Love the shelving and color coordinated storage

Love the white elements against the sage green walls

Love the collage of vintage elements, frames and typography as wall decor
Now, to make things a little more complicated… I have a 6 foot Crystal tree and a vintage retro (1970s) sewing machine integrated in a desk in my office. I wanted to paint my sewing machine desk (in white) and cover the chair with fabric that I purchased for cheap. (but that’s not done either)
What I do have :
- Work Desk (White)
- Black Filing Cabinet
- Gray Desk Chair
- 1 gray painted bookshelf
- Curtains
- Large 23 x 40 White Frame (to frame logo)
What I need:
- White Wall Shelves + White Bookshelf
- Desk Storage
- Patterned Wallpaper
- Printed logo on Canvas
- 2 chairs (to put in front of my desk – for future clients)
- Wall Decoration
Any tips on how I can get this project rolling? I think the overwhelming of it all is throwing me back. But I want this done before baby comes. Egh. If you have a home office… did it take you forever to get it done?

If , like me you like décor magazine, then there’s a huge possibility that you’ve seen the Kohler advertisements. The concept, and the overall design is simply stunning. Heck, makes me want to buy everything Kohler.

What makes a good advertisement? When after days, weeks, or month you remember that specific ad, therefore the brand attached to it. Kohler, my friends did just that. Like I said, “Kohler, you do it right!”

Keep the ads coming, because they are amazing. Great work, designers, artistic directors, photographers.

As a designer, for sure I like themed matchy and pretty parties. I mean, add some typography elements and/or mix and match patterns, and I will be one happy person. Now, of course I have no control on what my baby shower will look like, but I thought from now, til… well, when I am surprised with my baby shower I can post some awesome inspiration, and hopefully… hopefully someone will see this

These are beautiful real inspiration details from Molly’s Vintage Surf Baby Shower! I think they did a magnificent job. I mean, look at it. Its stunning. A candy bar ( I want) to matching monogram sugar cookies.

Obviously I think the whole party is a breakdown of the super cute shower invitation. Might I add I love the color combo : brown, blue and red. The colors mesh so well together, and the stripes, polka dots and ribbon make the whole look … just perfect!

I love all the little details, from the cupcakes (yes, I would love me some of those at my shower) to matching napkins. Hats off to the organizers. They did a fantasic job. I am sure Molly loved it!
Now don’t worry, I will feature more Baby Shower inspiration… up next a baby shower theme for a baby girlVia Project Nursery }

Even though I’ve been married for almost 2 years…. I love weddings. I wish I could focus all my design in weddings, and who knows even start my own shop one day. It’s been a dream of mine… always.
Um… what was I getting to?… Oh ya! I ♥ Weddings, and I ♥ Magazines, so when I saw the first issue of Nonpareil E-Mag… my oh my… it made me smile. I love pretty design… and this is Gorgeous.

With the economy and the unfortunate news of printed magazines closing down, e-mags are the way to go these days. (Anyways I think so) Of course there is alot of work implicated and majority of the time survival of a e-magazine is based on its advertisers… I have to agree I much prefer this version. I don’t feel like I’m wasting any paper, and the outcome is just as beautiful.

Beautiful spreads, filled with to-die for photography and tips, I have a feeling that Nonpareil e-mag will become very very popular. Can’t wait to see mags 02, 03 and 04… eeee must be so exciting

Now, I didn’t want to spoil the whole mag, so what are you waiting for… go check out the rest of the issue. Plus more goodies and downloads on their website.
On a side note ; Ladies, if you are ever in need of a graphic designer… I’ll raise up my both hands. Would love love love to collaborate/design such a beautiful piece of work

On the night I met you,
my heart stoped beating
it froze with with desire,
at what I was seeing.
On this night for us
that shoud’nt have been,
what lay ahead nobody could see.
You alone started these flames
of wanting desire,
a million seas couldn’t quench the fire.
But love isn’t always the easy friend,
you have to sail the storm
to recieve the love you send.
So till the day comes
that these arms can hold you near,
I’ll sail the storms and watch
as the clouds disapear.

Today’s interview features the work of the talented Sara of Onelove Photography. You’ve probably seen her beautiful work before, since she’s been featured on several blogs, but now… you’ll know what started it all. What her passions are, and where she gets her inspiration. Happy reading

How did you come up with the name : onelove photography?
There are several reasons: I am obsessed with good music. I can’t get enough of it…I’ll go to at least 10 live shows a year, and my stereo is always going. I absolutely love the song, “One” by Bono… and “One Love” by Bob Marley…. Finally, this all comes together with my personal faith in God. I love how Erwin McManus puts is: “Love is not a four-letter word. God is love.” -. It embodies everything that means anything to me.

What made you start this business – the major turning point?
My sister. Several years ago, I was sitting with my sister chatting she said, “One love.” I said, “What?” And she said, “One love. It’s you. You should name your business ‘one love.’” I thought about it, and she was right. That’s where onelove started.
After shooting a few weddings back in 2002 and 2003, I started developing a special vision for creative, editorial (candid) weddings, and decided to launch onelove photography. I’ve found that so many clients are looking for someone to “tell a story” of their day in pictures, which is all I do! I was trained to “tell stories” (aka my BA in Photojournalsm) onelove exploded right away, and I’ve been trying to catch up with it ever since.

What inspires you?
Life. Real, strong, abundant life. I believe we are meant to have it to the full, living free. When we love ourselves, we can fully love those around us. I want to capture VIBRANCE and ROMANCE and just plain FUN! I have so much fun shooting, it’s contagious!

What is the best part about your job?
Duh! Being able to see and photograph people that are totally smitten over each other! I never get tired of seeing happy people. But also, I so so so love working in the outdoors, crafting photographic art with sunlight and color. It invigorates me. Creative professions are so wonderful!

Whats the process?
I am here to capture you in your element in a way you didn’t even know was possible…The greatest images are the simplest of moments, but with the right lens, angle, composition and light, it can look like a completely different place – I want all of my clients to be posed and creatively composed in such a way that they could be published in a magazine the next day. Regular people with real emotions, real style, and I will craft your world into an image oozing with color and emotive passion… Drawing the beauty out of you (sometimes we’re scared to let ourselves be real in front of a camera lens)…it’s my natural rhythm to create warm setting while shooting, everyone relaxes and can just be themselves.

Tell us a little about yourself, to get to know you more
I’ve spent the last 8 eight years in the professional sports world while shooting weddings. Working under Michael Zagaris (acclaimed rock-and roll photographer, currently Oakland A’s and San Francisco 49ers team photographer) all these years, I have been given the opportunity to freelance regularly for Getty Images, shooting the MLB and NBA Playoffs, US Open, MLS (yummy David Beckham!!!) and working with some of the most heralded professional athletes in the world.
I have been working out of the San Francisco area until December of 2009, when I moved down to Pasadena. I am now based in the LA region and so excited about shooting down here!
Thank you for the opportunity to share my work with your readers!

As I sit here now wondering of you,
I remember the days we had,
You my darling so bright and full of life,
You made me complete so whole and so bright,
I loved the way you made me feel,
So welcome, so loved, and so special,
So in return this love I have,
I gave it to you my angel from the sky.
The way your hands would squeeze me tight
Would melt my heart, yet now I cry.
For the first time ever in my life,
I found a love, a love with you,
A love that I thought would never end,
Yet as we grow further apart,
It begins to destroy my broken heart.
I long to see you smile again,
I never meant to make you cry,
You were my lady one in a world,
And now I ache as I let you go.
If only I were to know,
That this moment now was going to happen.
I would change the past, the present and the future.
My love is forever with you,
But please, Please, Please
Remember me, remember us
And Please dont make me say If Only I.

I lie on the ground,
and stare into space,
the stars start to move,
into the shape of your face.
I see you there now,
looking down at me,
with that cute little smile,
that I like to see.
You say “close your eyes”,
“tell me what you see”,
I see only two people,
just you and me.
We’re walking the shoreline,
with our feet getting wet,
the horizon turns pink,
as the sun starts to set.
We make love through the night,
on that white sandy shore,
then I hold you while thinking,
I could want nothing more.
Oh I wish I could be,
in that one special place,
as I lie on the ground,
and I stare into space.

My love is like the sun that warms me when I am cold,
And like the cool water of the brook that refreshes me.
My love knows the secret pleasures of my soul,
And delights with me in fulfilling them.
Who is my love but the soul of my soul,
And the reason for every beat of my heart.
Who fills me with life in the joy of her presence,
And returns to me more than I have given.
Come to me, my love, I die without you.
Each day is eternity, waiting for your touch.
Remove the tears from my eyes and the ache in my heart,
Be closer than my breath, all my days, all my nights.

I never knew there would be a better tomorrow
But you’ve come into my life and taken away all my sorrow
My days of sadness are a thing of the past
Because I have found true love at last
My days of emptiness are gone for good
Because you fill a void in my heart that you should
You’ve opened a window
You’ve shown me the light
And my love for you will continue to burn bright.

Crafting is fun and my favorite part was making collages. Collecting images from magazines, photography, swatches of colors, ribbons, anything really and then meshing it together to create unique imagery. Well this is something I will most defetintely do once I get around to organizing and decorating my new home office.
The possibilities are endless and here are just a few examples.

Mixing textures is my favorite part. So whether you go monochrome or plain crazy with the color wheel don’t limit yourself. Add, remove, flip, fold, pin…etc

Decorating your room with collages is a great way to make someone stop and check what you’ve put together. The best part, you can switch it up as much as you’d like. There are no rules so as long as you have fun with it!
