Le Fall Decor

Confession… I don’t decorate for fall. Actually, apart for birthdays and Christmas I don’t decorate. I’m not festive like that, though you’d think I would be seeing my creative nature. Maybe it’s because I don’t have fall decor items to use, but I have no desire to spruce up my house with pine cones, leaves and pumpkins.

That being said, I RARELY decorate for Halloween as well. I don’t know, I find it more of a hassel than anything.  Take of the decorations, place the decorations, put away the decorations. It’s time consuming. Sure it’s pretty… but maybe the fact that Thanksgiving is such a big deal for Americans and not us, Canadians, also plays a big part in the fall decorations? Maybe it’s because I’m not a lover of fall colors? Don’t get me wrong, I love fall, the weather, the fashion but the decor… hmm, not so much. Maybe it’s too earthy for me. Maybe it’s the lack of pink ;] I do love picture #4 in the collage I made. Maybe its the shine, the glass, the reflective properties. So IF I WERE to decide to decorate, it would be a blinged up version of fall.

What about you, do you decorate? Tell me I’m not the only one who passes on the fall decor.

Meh, I used to decorate for fall, but not really much anymore. I think #2 is cool though–I might do something small like that!

I plan on decorating for the first time for Thanksgiving this year since my family will be coming to our house. I tend to go all out when I have shindigs and since our BBQ got canceled I want to make it purty. That being said, taking down decorations stinks and I usually keep our Christmas stuff up for months haha. These ideas you posted are adorable, especially no. 2!

I’m the same with Christmas. I put up my decorations at the beginning of November and take them down end of January. I don’t care what people think… I try and make the hassel worth it! I’m sure your decorations will be fab!

Confession: I didn’t know we were supposed to decorate for fall? :-P In all seriousness, although I love watching HGTV and reading about interior design/decorations, we never do ANYTHING. Okay, last year we broke down and got our first Christmas tree. But that was it. Maybe we’re too lazy?

I don’t decorate for fall, halloween (unless we are having a party) or anything except for Christmas. Fall decor in general seems really old fashioned, traditional and reminds me of my grandmother. I don’t care for the colors either :) Maybe its a designer thing?

I love fall and always decorate. The colors are my favorite earth tones. I decorate for all holidays even St. Patty’s Day!
