I’m indecisive and don’t know what to do, so I need your help. It’s nothing really important and you’re probably gonna say “make a choice already” but I’m really not sure what I want. I’m talking about adding another Cake stand to my collection. (can you really say collection when you only have 2?)

I recently got my a Rosanna Inc coupon on Zulily. How excited am I?!?! I’ve been wanting a cake stand from Rosanna since I don’t remember when, But I’ve been on the site for weeks, back and forth through the collections trying to figure out which cake stand I want.

These are my 2 cake stands. As you can see I’m doing the white ceramic look. The square one is a 8.75″ stand and the round a 12″. Ideally I would like to get something in between say 10″ but it’s negociable.

I have a 50$ voucher to spend on anything on the site. Ideally I would like to dish out as little money from my pocket as I can and honestly you can get alot for that kind of money.  The site is filled with amazing pieces, these are the contenders

Decor Bon Bon Collection

One of my favorite cake stands has to be that White round footed cake stand. I love how high it is and the detailing in the foot. The raised up edge with ruffle detailing makes me smile. (I know I’m a geek) but it’s the most expensive stand. Of course, I always gravitate to the expensive stuff.

  • 6″ White Footed Square Bowl Antique form compote - out of stock
  • 9″ White Footed Square Cake Stand – out of stock
  • 9″ White Footed Round Cake Stand – 75$
  • 6.75″ White Footed Round Bowl Antique form compote – 45$

La Patisserie

I love the idea of a bowl, it would be different than a cake stand yet it would fit nicely with my already existing stands. I could use both for display, one with fruit or coulis and the other for the cake.

  • Small Compote – $40
  • Medium Compote – $55
  • Large Compote – Out of Stock

Le Gateau

What I love about the Le Gateau model is the vintage feel. The detailing on the edge and the foot, the scallop edge… all so very pretty. I’m just not sure this would “fit” with my existing stands. Or is there a no-fit rule in cake displays?

  • 8″ Small Pedestal – 35$
  • 11.5″ Large Pedestal – Out of Stock

White

I also like this collection and love how all 3 stands are different, yet fit well together. That being said, I wish I could mix and match elements for the perfect stand. I would love the medium size stand, with the edge of the large one and the stand of the small. Alas, this isn’t build your cake stand, so I have no idea what to do.

  • 9″ Small Scalloped pedestal – $35.00
  • 10.5″ Medium Skirted pedestal - $51.00
  • 12″ Petal style pedestal – $60.00

Alot of the stands/bowls are out of stock until april or june. Ideally I wanted to order a stand so that I can use it for birthdays (so May & July) but at the same time I want to order a piece I will LOVE. (Considering the price point) My 2 current stands cost me $20 for both so spending anything over $40 for a stand makes me sweat (just a little). I know this is a timeless piece and I will have it for a really long time (unless a horrible accident happens and someone breaks it – knock on wood)

So if you were in my shoes, what would you do? Which stand/bowl do you love best?

  1. Molly Mosby says:

I love the “White” 10.5″ Skirted pedestal. Reminds me of a ruffle on a skirt – simple yet feminine.

  2. Tina says:

I love the one that has the pink cake on it. I have about 12 white cake stands.

  3. You have to go with the one you love! That 12″ round in the first set if photos. It will add height and interest to the two you already have and your collection will be perfectly eclectic!

  4. Such a lovely blog, I love these cake stands so pretty thanks for posting!
