I heart wallpaper, heart it, but I have to admit I am beyond terrified of actually going ahead and use it in my home. I’m afraid I’ll screw up and make a huge mess… but after seeing these pretty wallpaper projects from DIY Ideas, I might just dive in. I said Might.

Have you been afraid to attempt wallpaper? Any tips for a girl like me?

I personally almost always have to use the self pasted stuff in order to come up with a semblance of smoothness, but I think if you stick to flat surfaces and treat it like decoupage it should turn out lovely.

Oh, I really love the idea of framed wallpaper! That’s safe for even renters to experiment with!

I just finished wallpapering my craft room (easier than I anticipated!) – and now have a ton of this: http://www.wallpaperstogo.com/p-39484-e1x8yyv.aspx

The one that is patch work on the wall makes me wonder if it couldn’t be done with vintage fabric using old fashioned liquid starch…I’ve heard of using starch to put fabric on walls before but heard two different things on how easy it is to take down…one said it was easier to take down than wallpaper the other said it wasn’t so easy
