Diaper Bag Mashup
Finding the perfect diaper bag to suit your needs can sometimes be hard, especially with all the models out there. I know when I got pregnant with Mavrick, I was new to the whole mommy thing so my criteria was pretty basic. I wanted something nice, that had enough storage and could easily look like a purse (seeing I would use it to put my wallet, cellphone, keys and lip gloss) I ended up getting the Skip Hop Studio Diaper Bag Tote Bag (#4) When I got it, I was excited. It’s a beautiful bag, had lots of pockets… but down the road it wasn’t the right fit for me. I have HUGE purses, no joke! So when I got the bag… it seemed a little on the smallish side (for me).
Now that I will have 2 under 2, I still need to luge around diapers, bottles/sippy cups, toys, clothes etc. So I’m thinking maybe I should sell my current bag and opt for a bigger better option. I want my bag to look like more like a purse than a diaper bag (even if the hubs would prefer a more “manly” option) and it needs to be big. I’ve been searching the net, asking around what people have as bags, what they like or dislike and I came up with this colorful mashup.
I am LOVING the look of the Timi & leslie Convertible Charlie II Diaper Bag but there seems to be mixed reviews about the quality and design. Honestly… I even considered getting a Kelly Moore Camera Bag simply because I love the designs, they are roomy and the models are right down my alley. Plus everyone seems to rave about them (with the exception of the pricetag)
Do you know of any great diaper bags or bags that could easily fit my criteria? What diaper bag do you have?

March 12, 2012 at 13:48 (433 days ago)I actually have 2 #7, in different patterns and while I do love it, it did prove to be quite small for just one kid and a bit bulky. I am also expecting, and will have two soon, and am thinking of maybe using it again. For the past year, I just use my large size purse as a diaper bag…

March 13, 2012 at 17:41 (432 days ago)I have #7 and love it! I actually went through several other nice diaper bags first but they just didn’t work well even if they were cute. The petunia pick bottom boxy backpack can be used shoulder strap style or backpack style, it can also hook on to stroller handles without sliding down for easy access with strolling and I like how deap it is, things seemed to fit better in it in a more organized way. Also, love that i can zip it open and roll out the changing pad with one hand while I hold the baby in the other!

March 26, 2012 at 21:55 (419 days ago)I have the Timi and Leslie bag in another color. It is cute, and you can fit a lot inside. I cloth diaper and need a big bag to tote around all of that plus I use it as my purse too. The shoulder strap broke within five minutes of using this for the first time. No joke. The company replaced my strap for free and I had it at my house in two days. I have been using it for 8 months though, and beat the crap out of it every day with no other issues. Still, when I go to have another baby, I think I want to get a different one that just has a huge pocket on the inside with a couple little ones in the lining so I can see everything and get to it quickly. This one has two big sections on the inside and I find myself fishing around in it a lot since the bag is so big.

November 28, 2012 at 23:31 (172 days ago)After much research, I eventually ended up getting a JuJuBe diaper bag (well, I actually ended up with 3). Personally I prefer the messenger style, but they carry different styles. Here are some of the reasons I chose JuJuBe:
-Easy to wipe clean
-Very organized, separate pockets, and a totally separate “mommy section” for wallet, keys etc. stuff you don’t want touching baby’s paci, blankie etc.
- separate diaper section, same reasons as above
- light colored interior, easy to see and find things
- pretty prints!
- light, I don’t need a bag that’s already heavy without the truckload of stuff I carry
