In May 2013, I will no longer be in my twenties. I have to say that I’ve accomplished much in the last 9 years so it’s only fair I celebrate being 30 with a bang. I’ve always wanted to plan a big party but with Sienna’s 1st birthday I week before mine, I think my celebrating might be held off for a bit. One thing for sure is I did not want to compromise on my gift. As soon as I turned 29, I started thinking about what I would want for my 30th. Then it hit me. Something I could never buy for myself because I couldn’t justify the expense, but a perfect opportunity to get it as a milestone gift.
What am I talking about?! Well a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer of course, and not any color… the pistachio… ah be still my heart.

From the moment I figured out what I wanted, I told my mom, dad, stepmom basically anyone who wanted to pitch in so I could have the mixer of my dream. I owned a pretty basic Sunbeam Stand Mixer but it wasn’t great. So I sold it, to make space for my new mixer (even if I hadn’t gotten it yet). I searched basically every week in my local flyers and online until I found a massive sale on all stand mixers at Sears.ca, and simultaneously Ebates.ca was having a double cash back event. So instead of having the regular 1.0% cash back, they were having a 2% event – yay me!
So not only did I get my mixer (but still in the box until I turn 30, I know brutal) but I also got money back for the purchase which is a pretty sweet deal! Obviously I shop using Ebates every chance I get. Why wouldn’t you? You can find all the deals, daily double cash back, get referrals and more. If you haven’t started your holiday shopping, I suggest doing it online and earning cash back while you do. Sign up now to Ebates, if you haven’t already.
And I’ll have to wait until I turn 30 (in 6 months) to use this beauty. Le sigh!

I’m sure you’ve seen this book before and if you haven’t then you are up for a treat (especially if you are a typography lover like me). It’s an super cute illustrated activity book to help you (or others) understand typography lingo.

Hyperactivitypography from A to Z is an activity book for typographers illustrated in a nostalgic vintage style to give it a sweet and childlike look. The book is packed with activities, ranging from silly to hard core nerdiness. It’s great to test your skills on and to learn new things while having fun. Who said typography had to be stiff and boring?

Honestly, I think my kids will hate me. I’d be one to buy each of them one of these to teach them at an early age the important of typography. Hell to the NO there won’t be an use of Comic Sans in my household. Oh I can forsee complex typography discussions. hehe.

Ever since I’ve been a mom, my style in the shoe area has gone down quite a bit. I opt for what is easy to put on, comfortable and still somewhat stylish (so I like to think). I’ve never been a lover of the classic Toms Cavas slip-ons, but when my friend Jen blogged about the new TOMS flats, I knew I had to add them to my wishlist.
Apart from the obvious “lack of fashion sense because I’m a mom and I don’t have time” I have issues finding flats. I have a wide foot and usually they either hurt my foot or simply don’t fit. It makes me sad because I’m a lover of flats… but I keep looking at these and I have high hopes. They seem as though they would fit. Any one else have issues with flats?
If you are signed up to Ebates, then you get 5% cash back when you order these shoes (on the TOMS or Nordstorm websites). If you haven’t signed up, what are you waiting for?

I’ve always been a fan of office supplies. Highlighters, pens, paper … it all makes me happy, so it’s only a given that I covert all things over at Present & Correct

I don’t know what my obsession with Pantone are but I love practically anything designed around the universal color chart. Maybe it’s my grown up version obsession similar to the one I had with I was younger with my PrismaColor Crayons? Obviously I own a Pantone Chart. (and use it daily) so when I saw these Pantone PostCards, I automatically put it in my wishlist. Gah, they make my heart skip a beat. Yes, I know… I’m a nerd like that.

In my future home, I want a powder room… a place just for me, to display my makeup, perfumes in a pretty tray and my jewelry. In my dream powder room, I’d also like this shower curtain from Izola Shower. So pretty, glam and pink!
