If you’ve been following me on twitter, or simply following my blog, you know that I’ve been designing blogger blogs in exchange of donations for my upcoming Vegas trip (aka MakeitPrettyVille) Well I have to say, I’ve designed over 20 blogs in 2 months and I keep getting more and more requests. Though I am not a trained coder, I can find my way around html and some basic CSS and because the request is so high (yay!) I decided to launch some Blushink blog templates real soon…. but before I can do that, I need your help.

Blushink_boutique

Launching the template shop will be good for you and me. Why? Because #1 you will have a choice of pretty, inexpensive templates, #2 you won’t need to wait my ridiculously long queue because I unfortunately can’t clone myself #3 You will finally be part of MakeItPrettyVille and on my side, well, it will reduce my workload by alot, and it will allow me to offer custom blog designs for those who would like to have a one of a kind Blushink design ;) Its a win-win and we love that!!!

Now this is where I need your help. I have to decide what type of blogs I’m gonna design for the shop, and since you are the future clients, well obviously I would LOVE your feedback. I was thinking of maybe launching 6, 8 or 10. What number do you think is best? Should I, launch say 6 to start and add more afterward? Or should I wait til I’m done all the designs and launch a complete line of templates?

Also what type of blog designs would you like to have in the shop?

  • Photography Blogs ( 1 wide-column)
  • Baby Blogs
  • Wedding Blogs
  • Fashion Blogs
  • Decor Blogs
  • or should I just do say, 4 generic…

You see all these questions? Oh my… Imagine, how I must feel. lol
Thanks in advance… your feedback is very very valuable :)

Hi! Oh this is so great- I am so excited for you!! I think you should launch 6 to start and keep adding them as you go. That way people will keep getting introduced to your work. Also, I say def Baby, Wedding, Decor, and Fashion blog designs are a must!! Love it!

    xoxo

Hello! Such a pretty site! I agree with Amy by launching 6 and then adding to it. That way you have a way to bring clients back to your site to look for new templates. All of those blog designs you mentioned above are wicked and then maybe you can look to expand later. Better to give quality than quantity! I love reading your blog and Twitter updates!

  3. @Amy… that is such a great idea. Keep the people coming back to my blog. ;) So 6 it is… that way I will be able to launch quicker.

@Merdedith, you are so right, quality rather than quantity… i tend to forget that sometimes.

Thanks for the input ladies! Its greatly appreciated

  4. I would say generic and photography blogs.

That’s so cool that you’ll be making templates available, Kelly! As you know, your design work kinda makes me wanna leave WP and go back to Blogger, :)

i think start with 6… because i am impatient and would really like to buy one? is that a good enough reason?! and i would really like generic styles…

  8. Jane says:

Start with 6 and keep adding. Weddings and wedding fashions are my business so that’s my vote.

What are the templates going to be for? WordPress, Tumbler, Blogger, Typepad? Just curious! Great work here!
