Last weeks mood board was a hit (thanks to The Knot of course) So I though today’s post could feature another one of their magnificent color combos. So without further a-do, I present you Aqua and Chartreuse.

Beaded bag: Moyna, Table and flowers : JM Visuals,
Papeterie: Elum designs, Cakes: Colette’s Cakes.
I think this color combo is refreshing and having these contrasting colors in all your wedding details makes for an even more unified wedding theme. Using colored jelly beans, to beautiful ribbons, there are so many possibilities. Visit The Knot for more details…

I love these colors but i have no idea how to pull it all together for the ceremony. What should the guys where and what color dresses should the bridesmaids go with? Im about to give up and just go with the aqua.
I’m wondering the same thing…my mother suggested these colors after having no luck at all agreeing on colors and surprisingly, I really like them. I know David’s Bridal has some bridesmaids’ dresses in a citrus color that may match well.
Hey Ladies… I love this color combo. I find it so refreshing. For the dresses I would opt for a chartreuse color. Its quite different then the aqua we seem to see all the time. Chartreuse is a combo of a lime and a yellow hue. Even if you chose a lime color and use an aqua sash to cut the color it would be stunning.
The flowers could be in the tones of yelllow and green, and have an aqua ribbon. It would simply make everything pop!
For decoration, I would maybe use a colored satin ribbon and maybe some flowers here and there. You can also choose to use colored material or tulle to make a cascading effect.
Hope I have helped you out in some way.
Good luck!

Oh and dont forget to share all your wedding details for the readers guide!!!
I am using this palette, focusing mainly on the aqua w/ chartreuse accents. For my bridesmaids, I’m putting them in cute, strapless black cocktail dresses with aqua sashes. The guys will probably have aqua ties, and I’ll pull in the chartreuse with flowers.
i’m def using these colors! i’m having a garden wedding and they’re perfect! bridesmaids are wearing aqua dresses. we’ll all have white & chartreuse flowers. My bouquet will have aqua ribbon and their bouquets will have chartreuse ribbon. i think i’m gonna stick to traditional black/white tux fo the guys.
the reception will use both aqua and chartreuse.
I love the color scheme and would love to use it….but am thinking about a wedding in October. I am not quite sure if the color scheme would be fit for a beach wedding in October.
I am using this color scheme for our Destination Wedding in November … My Bridesmaid will be wearing a “pool” (aqua) dress, my dress is white with pool accents, we’ll both be carrying bouquets of chartreuse flowers tied with aqua and chartreuse ribbon. The guys are wearing light beige pants with an off-white shirt, a chartreuse bout.
For our at home reception, we’ll be continuing with this color scheme … ivory lines, alternating aqua and chartreuse chair sashes (ivory chair covers) … the centerpieces will be submerged green orchids with a floating candle with aqua ribbon around the bottom of each vase, with little white votives around the larger vases.
And a green orchid on each place setting
Hope that helps
I love these colors; I am going to try to model these colors.
Wow! Those colors are so pretty!!
I love these colors I’m actually looking for a lime green/chartreuse sash for my dress if you can tell me anywhere to find that I’d love it
My bouquet will have aqua ribbon and their bouquets will have chartreuse ribbon. i think i’m gonna stick to traditional black/white tux fo the guys.
i am having a wedding with chartreuse orange and gold. the bridesmaids are wearing chartreuse dresses with gold shoes and will be holding a bouquet with chartreuse, oranges, and possibly a pink flower or two.
at the reception, there will be ivory linens, chair ties are gold, and centerpieces are a flower pot spray painted gold, filled with cupcakes that look like flowers in the colors of chartreuse, a little orange, and ivory.
my dilemma is the groomsmen and their ties. they will be wearing their own navy suits and white shirt. i can;t find a tie that holds close to the light citron bridesmaid dresses from j.crew. would orange go for a tie? any suggestions would be great!
thank you!
I think orange would actually pull in everything. Especially since its an accent for your girls (in their bouquet)
How about these ties…
